Music

Music is a fundamental aspect of Kathak. North Indian classical music is complementary to Kathak, as the rhythmic patterns, vocal and instrumental support in Kathak is based on classical music.   Exposure to vocal and instrumental classical music plays an important role in the Kathak learning process. Aroha Fine Arts organizes at least one vocal or instrumental concert for the benefit of its students and the community:

October 27, 2005 - Vocals by Shekhar Kumbhojkar, Tabla by Ramdas Palsule and Sitar by Subhash Dasakkar
